Dear CCD On-Site Parents,
Since the Pine Bush Central School District will be pausing its in-person, instruction on Nov. 30 and resume on Jan.19, 2021, we are also concerned about the health of our Students and Staff and are planning to do a period of Home schooling for our students. God willing, we will be reopening the CCD on-site classes on the third week of January, 2021. Until then, please help your children with the undone lessons. If the Pandemic situation gets worse, we will keep up with the Archdiocesan guidelines and so, you will probably have to complete all the chapters home as well. As always, for any info. please check our Parish Website- Infant Savior. Org. Let the children bring the ‘Text Book’ with them when they come back to the classroom from their ‘Holiday Pausing’. Thanks for your cooperation. Our prayers will always be with your family especially throughout this challenging time. Be safe in the Lord.
Blessings!
Sr. Shinty Antony, DRE

Safe and Sound: Guidelines and Procedures
We will follow the S&S guidelines presented by the Office of the Superintendent of Schools on July 20, 2020 which reflect state and federal guidelines and best practices.
1. parents/guardians should monitor the health of their children for signs of infection and exposure. Children stay home if:
a. They are exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19
b. They were within six feet of a person with COVID-19 for a prolonged period of time.
c. They are at higher risk medically for infection
2. We encourage children to bring their own water bottle, snack, Bible, and/or other - ----commonly used items.
The symptoms of COVID-19
The potential symptoms of an illness are:
- Fever of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher
- Cough
- Chills
- Shortness of breath/difficulty breathing
- Loss of taste or smell
- Congestion/runny nose
- Nausea/vomiting/diarrhea
- Muscle/body aches
- Fatigue
- Sore throat
- Headache
• Anyone exhibiting the symptoms above will be sent home according to the protocol and according to the best judgment and discretion of the designated individual in charge of monitoring symptoms.
• To ensure safety and best practices, a “Guardian Angel” space is being designated where the sick person can go until he/she can be picked up and taken home by an authorized person. An adult, wearing a mask and gloves, will be present nearby, but more than six feet away to ensure the child’s safety and health.
• Adults who are exhibiting symptoms will be discreetly asked to leave the building immediately-and to report their symptoms to a medical professional.
• The director will be closing off and restrict the areas accessed by any sick individual or any individual exhibiting symptoms.
• The Guardian Angel space, or any room or area occupied by sick or symptomatic individuals, will not be reopened or utilized until cleaning and disinfection have taken place in an acceptable and-prescribed manner following the CDC guidelines.
• The sick child and adults shouldn’t return to school until they have met the CDC criteria to discontinue home isolation for COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 related illnesses, which include three days with no fever, an illustration that symptoms have improved, and ten (10) days elapsed since the symptoms first appeared.
• The director makes sure that all quarantine orders issued by the federal, state, and local-government directives will be followed by the parish, staff, volunteers, and families.
• Parish will follow procedures to inform appropriate archdiocesan and civil authorities.

Prayer Resources in the Absence of Mass
As was announced last week, all Masses in the Archdiocese of New York will be canceled for the time being due to continued concern surrounding the coronavirus, and at the advice of medical experts.
In light of these developments, members of the faithful may wish to observe Sunday as a day of prayer in the following ways:
1. Mass will be celebrated in Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, and will be available on many cable systems via the Catholic Faith Network and its website, livestreamed on the Saint Patrick’s Cathedral website, and broadcast on radio on The Catholic Channel of Sirius XM (Channel 129).
2. Act of Spiritual Communion: It has long been a Catholic understanding that when circumstances prevent one from receiving Holy Communion, it is possible to make an Act of Spiritual Communion, which is a source of grace. Spiritual Communion is an ardent desire to receive Jesus in the Most Holy Sacrament and lovingly embrace him at a time or in circumstances when one cannot receive Him in sacramental Communion. The most common reason for making an Act of Spiritual Communion is when a person cannot attend Mass. Acts of Spiritual Communion increase our desire to receive sacramental Communion and help us avoid the sins that would make us unable to receive Holy Communion worthily.
Find out more about the beautiful Catholic practice of Spiritual Communion in this excellent article at the following link.
Prayer for Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love you above all things and I desire to receive you in my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally,
Come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace you as if you were already there
And unite myself wholly to you.
Never permit me to be separated from you.
Amen.
